INNISFAIL TOWN ADMINISTRATION

JMAA architecture completed this renovation and expansion of the Innisfail town administration in 2017.  The renovation included the redesign of the existing town administration and expansion into the adjacent connected fire hall.  The firehall was left vacant after the Innisfail Fire Department moved to a new facility.  This previously unused space is now a large council chamber, new reception area and additional office spaces.  We also added a solar panel system to the rooftop of this building.

The design plays on the industrial nature found within Innisfail and the surrounding area.  The new design creates a contemporary space with industrial elements.  Reception features such as exposed brick and black pipe accents create a interesting and cohesively designed space for its users.

The council chambers has features such as a large skylight for daylighting as well as a large glass operable door which separates a flex area so council can expand as needed.  The modern design updated the existing Town Administration to create a new functional space which meets the staff and councils needs in this existing building while also providing a great new look for their spaces.
