COMMUNITY SAVINGS

In texture this building represents a mixed shift from agrarian culture to urban culture.  It makes a strong comment on the region in flux and a region that is growing.  It is in the same moment highly techno-industrial and prairie rustic.  It measures itself at once to the farm, through our regional culture, to the oil field.  As this region is constantly changing, the building expresses that change being affected by light patterns passing over and across its exterior.  This effect is most prominent as one's viewpoint changes while traveling around the building.  While the buildings façade is in constant flux, it remains in form a symbol of permanency.

This building is designed to reach a m8inimum of LEED silver incorporating chilled beam systems, extraordinary daylighting, environmentally responsible materials, LED lighting and is planned to be part of a mass transit connection.
